Your new company
We are hiring an Assistant Manager, General/Regulatory Compliance for a stable Foreign Corp Bank. They are currently searching for committed talents to join and support their compliance team in Hong Kong.
Your new role
- Provide compliance and regulatory advisory services to businesses regarding rules and standards and proper codes of conduct.
- Implement and oversee the compliance monitoring program in alignment with directives from the Branch and Head Office.
- Develop compliance policies and procedures for the bank.
- Liaise with local regulators (e.g. HKMA) and handle regulatory enquiries, inspections, questionnaires, incident reporting, surveys and other ad hoc requests.
- Prepare internal and external reports for senior management, regulatory bodies, tax authorities, and the Head Office.
- Provides advisory, guidance and training to operational and business units on regulatory compliance matters.
- Review compliance practices, regulations, and guidelines to confirm that these standards are adequate and fit for intended use, and to suggest changes as needed.
- Analyse and conduct gap analysis in relation to internal standards and policies
- Support other ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by management.
What you'll need to succeed
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Requires around 4-5+ years of compliance experience in Banking.
- Sound knowledge of HKMA and other banking-related legislation and guidelines.
- Experience of liaising with regulatory bodies will be a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills and a growth mindset.
