Job Description:

  • Manage the overall daily settlement operations, and take on a backup role to cover and support team members to ensure effective business continuity.
  • Investigate and liaise with counterparties (Brokers and Custodians) to resolve settlement exceptions.
  • Coach team members for performance and also act as the process owner for new business change initiatives (new market/product/trade enablement) and strategic change initiatives (market and system changes).
  • Review the current operational and risk control processes, and offer improvement suggestions to avoid operational incidents.
  • Review current operation procedures and work on improvement plans and streamlining operational processes.
  • Delegate a full set of back office operations to team members.
  • Comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements including client monies and securities processes.
  • Promptly escalate operational issues and errors to minimize operational risks.
  • Maintain good relationship with relevant internal & external counterparties for our smooth operations.

 

Job Requirement

  • University degree holder with 4-7 years of settlement operational exp. in securities, brokerage, custodians or asset management companies.
  • Knowledge of the full settlement cycle of capital markets products.
  • Knowledge and experience in operating GLOSS system, CCASS terminal and SWIFT Alliance etc.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Prior project management experience such as new products (or new systems) introduction and implementation.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, independent, proactive and assertive; Attention to detail, accurate, punctual and customer-oriented.
  • Good interpersonal skill and capable of being a good team leader; Embrace challenges and changes for enhancement in all aspects.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic organization with multi-tasking capability.
