As a Trading Assistant within our APAC Cash Equities Trade Support team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equity trades across the APAC markets. You will work closely with traders and various infrastructure groups to manage trade lifecycle events, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in trade processing. You are vital to maintaining the integrity of our trading operations and supporting our commitment to excellence
Job responsibilities - Support operations for agency and principal trading in the APAC markets.
- Complete intra-day and end-of-day processes, ensuring accurate capture of new trading activity.
- Collaborate with infrastructure groups to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth trade processing.
- Facilitate cross-organizational communication to identify and address real-time risk issues.
- Participate in strategic initiatives to improve processes and business architecture.
- Manage trade lifecycle events, including trade capture, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate allocation of exchange, broker, and principal fills to client orders.
- Investigate and resolve trade-related issues efficiently under pressure.
- Maintain strong focus on accuracy and precision in trade processing.
- Communicate effectively with traders and functional partners to resolve exceptions.
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or similar.
- 3 years of experience in finance operations roles.
- Solid understanding of cash equities including ADR/GDR conversion, Foreign Exchange (FX), listed options and futures operations.
- Proficiency in trade lifecycle management and risk mitigation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with traders and functional partners.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills - Familiarity with trading systems and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Prior experience in equities trade support, client services, or Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting.
- Fluency in an Asian language is a plus.
