Responsibilities:
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of web and mobile applications, ensuring adherence to quality standards, project timelines, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and business leaders, to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Manage the entire software development life cycle, ensuring effective project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development within the mobile engineering discipline.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of mobile app architecture, frameworks, and development standards in alignment with company-wide technology strategies.
- Manage the continuous improvement of the existing systems and streamline the software development process.
- Lead a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that promotes innovation and continuous improvement.
- Enforce industry best practices, coding standards, and guidelines to produce efficient, scalable, and maintainable mobile applications.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 6 years of experience in leading mobile application development projects, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of full-stack development concepts, including back-end and front-end technologies (Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js)
- Experience in automation testing and performance testing is a significant advantage.
- Previous experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and a proven ability to effectively manage agile teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese), along with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to deliver innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
