Senior Manager, Regulatory Advisory Compliance

A global asset manager is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Advisory Compliance to lead and support first-line compliance efforts across their APAC distribution business. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs in a multi-jurisdictional environment, particularly across key APAC markets such as China and Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary compliance advisor to APAC Distribution leadership.
  • Oversee first-line compliance activities and support regional sales, marketing, and client services teams.
  • Develop and maintain regional policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Coordinate with legal, global compliance, and risk teams to ensure consistent standards.
  • Support regulatory reviews and manage compliance-related projects and training.
  • Engage with clients and represent the firm in industry forums and conferences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with at least 10 years of compliance experience, ideally within asset management.
  • Strong understanding of APAC regulatory frameworks and asset management products.
  • Experience supporting institutional and intermediary clients across markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

Preferred:

  • Experience across global regulatory environments (e.g., EMEA, U.S.).
  • Language skills in Japanese, Mandarin, or other regional languages.
  • Familiarity with data processing in financial services and cross-border compliance practices.
