The Equities E-Trading Business Manager is responsible for supporting the Electronic Trading framework for Equities business globally to maintain compliance with internal policies & regulatory requirements and driving initiatives to achieve simplification, increased productivity, and efficiency and enable the business to grow.
We would like to recruit a Vice President for the regional Equities Electronic Trading Business Management team in Hong Kong to help drive execution and provide support for strategic initiatives and run essential business execution functions.
Key Responsibilities: - Support the roll-out of new electronic trading initiatives across regional Cash Equities, Delta 1 and Derivatives businesses.
- Work with Business Execution partners to streamline processes, technology, and documentation to achieve consistency in policies and procedures.
- Assist the Equities E-Trading business to drive a robust and globally consistent framework compliant with internal policies and procedures.
- Support the Business in material change management process including coordination with various stakeholders (Trading Desk, Product Development, Technology, Compliance and Risk Management).
- Work with the Business Supervisors, Quants, Technology & other partners to efficiently build target state E-Trading controls, system alerts, and re-engineer processes to ensure effective and best in class solutions ensuring consistency in application between all regions and countries.
- Facilitate and as required participate in ad-hoc reviews and regulatory / supervisory examinations of the wider Equities E-Trading business.
- Represent Equities in E-Trading related transformation initiatives to ensure business requirements are understood and incorporated into global designs and solutions are fit for purpose.
Experience & Skills: - 7+ years of experience in COO/Business Execution/Business Management roles, preferably within Electronic Trading in Equities or other Markets product role.
- Strong understanding of regional regulatory requirements around algorithmic / electronic trading.
- Proven experience successfully driving day-to-day execution and strategic projects across a large matrixed organization.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, execution and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to independently own work and operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Ability to engage with technology to understand system implementation and be able to work with large sets of data.
- Purpose driven, highly motivated, collaborative, team player with strong attention to detail, capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems simply and concisely at all levels.
- Experience in delivering change-related projects, proactively drives process improvements and re-engineering opportunities.
- Experience with databases (e.g. SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) is desirable.
Development Value: - Develop a detailed understanding of the Equities businesses, products and processes and how it operates within a large organization.
- Develop a global network of contacts within Equities, Markets businesses, Quants, Technology and Risk stripes.
- The role involves exposure & partnership with business and desk heads across Equities and involvement in other global projects.
- Create strong partnership with functions including product development and technology to provide end to end visibility of material E-Trading risks.
- Build a deep understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape, with a focus on E-Trading, and how it impacts the business.
