Our banking client is looking for a seasoned leader to join as Head of Retail Wealth Products within the retail banking group. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, enhancing customers journey and service delivery of retail wealth products, which includes Deposit and Investment Products as well as Cross-border business from all distribution channels. This is a pivotal role that requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and in-depth knowledge of wealth management products within the retail banking industry.
Responsibilities
- Formulate business strategies to actively drive acquisition and portfolio growth of wealth products at all delivery channels
- Identify product, process and system enhancement opportunities to ensure a competitive edge in wealth products delivery
- Collaborate with key stake holders to ensure the planning, design and implementation of products delivery and sales process are compliance to the Bank's policies and procedure, as well as regulators' requirement
- Supervise, monitor and provide guidance to subordinate with focus to build a strong team to promote a strong customer centric culture
- Perform timely business analytics and monitoring for management oversight and able to identify trends and triggers for ongoing refinement of strategies and initiatives
- Provide guidance to subordinates and plan for their career development, including successor management for all teams
- Manage overall staff turnover to enable a continuity of service deliverables
Qualifications
- At least 20 years of banking experience of which at least 15 years in a leadership position
- Solid experience in wealth products, which includes but not limit to product /segment management, project and or risk management, marketing and distribution in banking or financial services industry, with a strong track record of business results
- Strong understanding of investment product development, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements within retail banking
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills, with a track record of driving product innovation and growth in the retail banking industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders within retail banking
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus
