Your new role This role focuses on managing and expanding the Local Corporate account portfolio by collaborating with International Brokers. Core duties involve underwriting, responding to inquiries, preparing proposals, and identifying growth opportunities, all while nurturing strong broker partnerships.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build and sustain a profitable portfolio by meeting sales and retention objectives within professional broker channels.
- Establish and maintain strong broker relationships through consistent engagement and collaboration.
- Maximize revenue while adhering to underwriting guidelines.
- Lead and coach team members to develop their skills and enhance their performance.
- Evaluate and manage business outcomes by analyzing metrics like loss ratios and growth rates, and propose improvement strategies to management.
- Collaborate with accounts and producers to ensure effective credit control measures are in place.
- Generate account reports and statistical data for management review and decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed Qualifications and Experience:
- A university degree or higher, along with a recognized professional insurance qualification such as ANZIIF or ACII.
- At least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, covering underwriting, client servicing, and marketing, particularly with international brokers.
- Proven leadership experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory responsibility.
Skills and Expertise:
- Strong technical expertise in underwriting across all general insurance product lines.
- Skilled in developing and nurturing broker relationships.
- Capable of creating underwriting guidelines and crafting pricing models.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Proficient in PC skills, especially in MS Word and Excel.
- Good knowledge of market trends and awareness of industry dynamics.
