They are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Procurement to lead their procurement team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and fostering relationships with suppliers to optimize costs and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Leadership:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the institutions goals.
    • Lead the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for goods and services.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations of suppliers and implement improvement plans as necessary.
  • Cost Management:

    • Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
    • Oversee budget management and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure procurement processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
  • Team Development:

    • Mentor and develop procurement staff to enhance their skills and career growth.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the procurement team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive strategic initiatives.
