Job Summary:
Working in the HKEX Sustainability Division, the role is crucial in driving the integration of sustainability considerations into financial markets, promoting responsible investing and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, overseeing variety of corporate responsibility and philanthropy initiatives as well as developing and conveying HKEX's sustainability narratives to all stakeholders, enhancing HKEX's leadership and reputation in sustainability.

Job Duties:

The role will have additional focuses on. Our ideal team member will be a proactive individual with the knowledge and confidence to handle and drive operational tasks as below.
  • Support new strategic initiatives and business development of the HKEX's Sustainability strategy, potentially connecting with GBA and other parts of Mainland China;
  • Develop and implement corporate responsibility and philanthropy initiatives that align with the priority areas outlined in the HKEX's Sustainability Strategy
  • Facilitate the Group's sustainability governance and ensure its effectiveness in attaining sustainability goals and objective;
  • Prepare and communicate HKEX's sustainability narratives through annual reports, the website, social media platforms, speaking engagements, and events;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee the effective implementation of strategic initiatives across various domain;
  • Oversee and monitor projects, regulate budgets and expenses, conduct evaluations and impact assessments, and compile reports and impact narrative;
  • Manage and oversee overall team's objectives and deliverables and provide guidance and support to team members both within and across the division.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following attributes:
  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in Environmental Science / Management / Law, Geography, Chemistry or Sustainable Finance;
  • Sound understating on corporate governance and the emerging trend on Corporate Responsibility , Carbon and ESG Market;
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in Corporate Responsibility, Carbon and ESG Market and / or related fields with at least 3 years of people management experiences;
  • Excellent written and spoken English and good Chinese language skills are essential, and proficiency in Putonghua would be an added advantage;
  • Proven track record in event and project management, strategic communications, sustainability reporting, impact measurement or other relevant areas; and
  • A team player with strong commercial sense and analytical skill and the ability to work independently and support senior management.
