Business Function Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions - whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.
Responsibilities - Prepare regular MIS and GL reconciliation/ ad hoc reports for the business
- Prepare daily Global Financial Markets banking and CO banking P&L report and substantiation
- Provide suggestions on streamlining of existing processes
- Assist to calculate valuation reserves
- Participate in ad hoc tasks assigned from time to time for the operational needs of the department
- Investigate discrepancies between PSGL balance and Front office reports
- Assist UAT and implementation/enhancement of local and regional Finance systems
- Assist assessment of Global Financial Markets new product and new business launch
- Review daily transaction to ensure no deviation of Group Accounting Standard like Financial assets transfer, securities holding period, SPPI and hedge accounting testing review, manual vouchers preparation and reconciliation
- Assist to provide information to internal and external auditors and regulators.
Requirement - Diploma holder or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in financial institutions or middle office support in Global Financial Market
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Basic financial/accounting knowledge, preferably with product knowledge on FX / IR / Equity and derivatives
- Good analytical skills and proficient in MS Excel
- A team player with good communication skills
