Senior Insurance Product Specialist (RO)
Position Overview
We are assisting a wealth management company in their search for an experienced Insurance Product Specialist to lead their insurance brokerage practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the Responsible Officer (RO) and manage a small team dedicated to internal sales of insurance products. This individual will play a key role in shaping the strategy and direction of the insurance offerings while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the insurance brokerage team, ensuring high standards of performance and compliance.
- Serve as the Responsible Officer (RO) for the insurance brokerage firm, updating internal guidelines and handbooks to comply with IA regulations.
- Drive sales initiatives and strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
- Liaise with sales and product teams to facilitate referrals and documentation.
- Follow up on client sales and assist the sales team with post-sale activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance firms and other stakeholders.
- Set direction on the handbook and negotiate with insurance companies to secure products.
- Ensure the team serves internal sales and relationship managers (RMs) effectively.
- Drive commission-based revenue and contribute to the overall growth of the wealth management business.
Position Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the insurance or financial services sector, with a strong background in sales
- Prior experience in a brokerage firm is essential, with a proven track record of driving sales and managing teams.
- Must hold a valid RO license and have a deep understanding of the insurance industry's regulatory environment.
- Strong product knowledge and a well-established network within the insurance industry.
- Strong sales acumen and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin to effectively communicate with clients from various regions.
