Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Manage the Global FIX connectivity team responsible for handling FIX connectivity requests from clients, vendors, brokers and exchanges.
  • Daily trading operations desk support for various trading desks of High Touch & Low Touch cash Equities, SWAP desk and F&O desk. 
  • FIX testing & certifications of FIX client, FIX vendor, FIX broker, internal & external dark & lit pools & exchanges.
  • Understand and work with infra teams to setup connectivity between external parties with the firm and able to maintain FIX network relationship. 
  • Working in shifts to support Asia / US and Europe markets (with compensation)
  • Work closely with FIX team in CLSA Pune, US and Australia.

 

Requirements

  • Degree holder or above in IT/Computer Science or related fields
  • 15 years experience including 10 years proficiency in FIX technology, 3+ years of experience in a Broker / Dealer environment
  • Good experience in FIX certification and FIX client on-boarding
  • Proven experience in Cameron FIX or Appia or other FIX engines
  • Excellent knowledge of Cash Equity business in a DMA/DSA, Agency and Program FIX environment
  • Excellent knowledge of SWAP, Future & Options business in a DMA & DSA FIX environment
  • Good knowledge of exchange rules of Asian markets (HK/China CONNECT/JP/KR/SG/TW/AU/IN/ID)
  • Good understanding of Trade Flow systems needed for DMA/DSA trade booking especially in ID markets like CONNECT, Korea, Taiwan and India
  • Good understanding of Order Management Systems like Fidessa, Flextrade etc
  • Good understanding of Front end systems like Bloomberg, ITG etc
  • Good exposure in FIX testing tools like VeriFIX
  • Excellent communications in English and Chinese
  • Good problem solving skills in a face-paced environment
     

Technology skills:

  • Knowledge in FIX protocol (FIX versions 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 etc)
  • Knowledge in FIX engines like Cameron, Appia
  • Knowledge in ORACLE (user level)
  • Knowledge in Unix and Shell scripting
  • Knowledge in FIX automated tools
  • Awareness of SRE concepts is an added advantage
