Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to securities and brokerage operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
- Conduct gap analyses between current and future state business processes and technology solutions.
- Prepare detailed functional specifications, user stories, and use cases that align with business goals.
- Act as a liaison between IT, business units, and external vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to support requirement elicitation and validation.
- Work with different IT teams to design and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and client service delivery.
- Develop test plans, cases, and scripts; assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are met.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and ensure that projects comply with relevant standards and practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance-related technology solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes.
- Develop user guides and documentation as needed.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to business applications.
- Participate in project planning and management, including monitoring progress and reporting on project status to stakeholders.
- Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree of Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. Masters degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- 8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the securities, banking, brokerage, wealth management sector.
- Strong understanding of securities trading, brokerage operations, fund, bond, structured products and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques, process mapping, and data analysis.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualization is a plus.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
