Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM) and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Implement and maintain security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and patch management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
- Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes are robust and tested regularly.
- Document system configurations, processes, and incident resolutions to maintain operational transparency.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux System Administrator in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and system administration tools.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in network protocols, security practices, and tools (e.g., iptables, SELinux, Nagios).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and implement scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
