Operations Analyst - 7 months Contract Term

The role will be responsible for the entire trade life-cycle of these trades, including (but not limited to): Trade Validation, Trade Maintenance, system reconciliation, Client & Management reporting and break resolution.

Job Description

The role will be performing Trade Control function supporting the APAC linear Rates and LCT business, demonstrating an understanding of products traded - including Interest Rate Swaps, Options, FRAs, Caps, Floors, Cross Currency Swaps, FX and Exotic Interest Rate Products such as Total Return Swaps, Asset Swaps and Inflation linked Swaps.

Responsibities:

  • Trade Reconciliation for all new trades booked (paper confirmed, MarkitWire confirmed and E-trade) across the assigned trading desks on a daily basis.
  • Provide support to assigned trading desks – Support the Trading desk across all Middle-Office functions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ongoing Trade maintenance – Manage trade lifecycle events & perform trade amendments to correct positions.
  • Investigate and resolve breaks – Work closely with Front and Back Office to resolve breaks (e.g. Cash, Collateral, Valuations, Documentation etc)
  • Production of daily reports – Distribute Daily reports to the Trading desk, business partners and Senior Management (requiring a high level of attention to detail)
  • Resolve Risk and P&L issues - Work closely with MO Risk and P&L to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Resolving client issues – Working with Sales and Client Management teams to ensure that client issues are addressed and resolved
  • Trade Unwind events - Manage trade unwind events such as Trioptima, working with Front office and P&L to execute successfully
  • Resolve queries – Investigate any issues raised to the team, liaising with Front Office, Back Office and/or the client as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Product Suite i.e. Excel, Word etc. is a must
  • Experience in a Trade Assistant/Trade Support or equivalent role is preferred
  • Bloomberg/Reuters knowledge/experience is preferred
  • Understanding of basic FICC business and products (FX, Options, Rates and bonds) is preferred
  • Fast learner with open minded thinking, strong communication, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Positive working attitude: diligence, resilience, calm and ability to manage stakeholder expectations
