Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cover global semiconductor supply chain, with a focus on Chinese and US companies, with knowledge about companies in other regions. Looking for investment opportunities from a global perspective.
- Support AM portfolio managers, both onshore and offshore, through actively providing stock ideas; closely interact with onshore semiconductor analysts by providing global semiconductor industry trends and prospectors.
- Conduct in-depth bottom-up fundamental research on companies, build financial models, and write investment reports.
- Present investment ideas to the portfolio managers through regular meetings, presentations and discussions.
- Communicate industry themes and investment ideas with clients and internal sales team.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong background in semiconductor equity research with good understanding of the global supply chain dynamics.
- Good analytical skill with independent and critical thinking.
- Strong communication, presentation and writing skills.
- Passion for excellence and high level of motivation.
- Work well within the team and able to make timely and results-driven investment recommendations.
- Good command in spoken and written Mandarin and English
Qualifications
- Upright, humble, diligent with high moral values
- Bachelor degree or above; CFA is considered favorably.
- A minimum of 5 years of fundamental equity research experience on semiconductor industry in either buy or sell side; exceptional candidates with less than 5 years experiences can be considered as well.
- Candidates with global equities experiences will be highly appreciated.
