About the Role

As an Analyst, Balance Sheet Trading in our Hong Kong Markets team, you'll play a key role in helping to contribute toward Balance Sheet Trading Hong Kong achieving the plan and targets. This role will provide direct support to the Mismatch Portfolio, multi-currency funding activities and Liquidity Portfolio. From time to time, you will also provide full desk back-up coverage responsibility for the team.

What will your day look like?
  • Contribute toward Balance Sheet Trading Hong Kong achieving Plan within relevant risk, liquidity, capital and regulatory parameters.
  • Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders (incl. Market Risk, Middle Office, Operations and Funding teams) and management within Balance Sheet Trading and Markets
  • Develop good relationships with interbank counterparties and local market network.
  • Ensure adherence to Risk/Limit Management & Compliance with all internal/external Risk & Regulatory requirements including specific local central bank or other regulatory requirements
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
  • Relevant experience in the trading business is required. Candidates with experience in Money Market/Balance Sheet Trading will be given priority.
  • Good understanding in both trading FX and Money Market products, regulatory & market environment, financial instruments & operational processes.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and requirements within Hong Kong market would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills. Ideally fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Advanced working knowledge of PC skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), Bloomberg, Reuters and VBA would be a plus.
