Key Responsibilities:
- Program/Project Management: Spearhead the initiation, mobilization, and execution of key initiatives identified in the Strategic Planning cycle.
- Hands-on Project Management: Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring all aspects are managed effectively.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project sponsors and Business/TDA stakeholders to develop business cases, lead discussions, and secure approvals from senior committees.
- Progress Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on program updates, including progress, financials, risks, and issues, to senior management and PMO.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage the vendor sourcing process, including RFP and SoW preparation, review, and sign-off.
- Team Leadership: Lead project managers and technical leads from vendors or offshore teams, coordinating with internal IT departments.
- Risk Management: Anticipate project risks and implement mitigation strategies promptly. Address issues with a focused approach to ensure timely resolution.
- Change Management: Oversee the change management process to ensure project changes are handled transparently and effectively.
- Technical Clearance: Lead projects in obtaining necessary technical clearances before production deployment.
- Team Management: Supervise a team of staff, including outsourced and contract resources, to execute strategic initiatives.
- Collaboration Facilitation: Promote communication and collaboration across project teams.
- Knowledge Uplift: Continuously enhance team members' knowledge in business, technical know-how, project management, and stakeholder management.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in business management or STEM-related disciplines.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in consulting, business operations, or project management, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working in banking or financial services on large, complex change projects, especially those involving digital and cutting-edge technology solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work with diverse teams across different work streams.
- Innovative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and find proactive solutions to problems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments or knowledge of Agile principles.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
