Overview:
The Graduate Trainee program is designed to develop future leaders within the organization. The trainee will gain hands-on experience across various departments such as special situation department, fund operation department , compliance department etc., learning about the company's operations, culture, and strategic goals.
The Role and Responsibilities you may cover:
- On-the-job training to established related asset management expertise
- Work with the team to identify, review and evaluate distressed asset related investment opportunities (may sometimes cover other industries such as property business and energy etc.)
- Lead/Assist team to conducting due diligence on investment opportunities, construct financial models and perform technical analysis
- Negotiate terms and conditions of new investment agreements and other related contracts, and prepare and present investment memos for decision-making committees
- Coordinate with investors and other partners for the fund structure investments
- Monitor and manage the portfolio of existing investments to ensure compliance with agreed terms and business plans
- Post-investment management
- Work actively with the team on certain processes, including KYC/AML, reporting, performance tracking for investors, subscription/redemption request and capital calls/distributions
- Monitor daily trade cycle and resolve the breaks, perform daily cash and position reconciliation
- Ensure that all operational processes comply with policies and procedures
- Reconcile the valuation reports prepared by fund administrators and custodians
- Assist in new managed accounts and funds setup, including account opening and on-board procedures for existing funds
- Handle general and investment compliance and ensuring that the business adheres to relevant legal and regulatory requirements (mainly for authorized public funds under SFC)
- Perform periodic Compliance monitoring and reviews on various business activities
- Provide relevant Compliance training on various subject matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree holder or above in finance, economics, law or business related disciplines, with a bachelor degree acquired from project “985†or Hong Kong Top 5 university
- Full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students (final year preferred), or recent graduates (within 3 years) with experience in fund operations or compliance
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, Cantonese will be an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and detail oriented, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing
- Immediately available is preferred
