Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the distribution strategy & business development process: Assist to develop and implement long-term distribution strategies to grow AUM through retail banks, brokerages, IFAs, and other wealth platforms. Establish and nurture strong relationships with key partners.
- Assist in the end-to-end partner engagement activities: Assist in all stages of distributor engagement—from initial outreach and RFI responses to due diligence, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.
- Provide product training & education: Assist to train and educate partner sales teams on product features, investment themes, and market trends to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Assist in the commercial negotiation process & offer marketing support: Negotiate distribution agreements and collaborate on joint marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and client events.
- To assist in the market intelligence & performance analysis process: Monitor market trends, analyze sales performance across channels, and provide actionable insights to product and investment teams. Identify new business opportunities and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
- Client servicing: Manage client inquiries, ensure high-quality account servicing, and maintain strong relationships with existing mandates.
- Provide sales & marketing support: Assist in sales meetings, pitches, and due diligence questionnaires to support the broader Sales and Marketing team.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, or any related field.
- 2+ years of experience in fund sales, distribution, or client servicing within the asset management industry, with a proven track record of established network with retail banks, brokerages, and wealth platforms in Hong Kong and China.
- Brief understanding of the fund distribution landscape, including cross-border fund schemes (e.g., Mutual Recognition of Funds), regulatory frameworks, and knowledge of various asset classes and fund products (mutual funds, ETFs, money market funds, etc.).
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Immediate availability is highly preferred.
Reporting Line: This role reports directly to the Head of Products, Sales & Marketing.
