We're looking for a Markets Producer based in Hong Kong to help drive our Asia-focused coverage. Our ideal candidate is passionate about financial markets, thrives in a live broadcast environment, and has a strong aptitude for numbers and data. You'll play a key role in shaping Bloomberg TV's real-time market coverage for a regional and global audience.
We'll trust you to: - Conceptualize and produce live market segments for Bloomberg Television with a sharp focus on Asian financial markets across asset classes - equities, FX, bonds, commodities, and more.
- Collaborate closely with anchors and reporters to translate complex market moves into compelling, viewer-friendly storytelling.
- React swiftly to breaking news, distilling fast-moving developments into clear editorial direction.
- Use and advocate Bloomberg Terminal functions to uncover market trends and data that inform coverage.
- Create Bloomberg Terminal charts and visuals that clearly explain market moves and themes.
- Liaise across multiple teams including news, data, graphics, and digital to ensure cohesive, high-impact content.
You'll need to have: - A deep interest in - and ideally experience with - Asian markets and economies.
- A strong aptitude for numbers, data analysis, and economic indicators.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn how to visualize financial data using charts and graphics.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, especially during breaking news events.
- Excellent editorial judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- A collaborative spirit and ability to work across departments and cultures.
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal or similar financial data platforms is a strong plus.
- Flexibility with working hours, including early mornings or late evenings when markets demand.
