My client is a reputable Asset Management firm in Hong Kong and they are seeking a skilled Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure the integrity of data.
  • Optimize database performance and resolve data-related issues.
  • Work with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) to manage data storage and processing.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data processes and workflows.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, preferably in finance or asset management.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
