Senior Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Offer timely legal advice on financial services and regulatory matters
• Assist with legal drafting and policy initiatives.
• Identify and escalate urgent legal issues.
• Enhance legal services through best practices and technology.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with other divisions.
• Prepare documents for the Board and serve as a legal advisor to committees.
• Implement policies to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
• Participate in ongoing risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and current practicing certificate from a common law jurisdiction.
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience, preferably in financial services regulation.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
