Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) approval processes and ensuring compliance with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) regulations.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Chief Risk Officer in developing and implementing risk management strategies and policies.
- Oversee the SME approval process, ensuring thorough risk assessment and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Liaise with the HKMA and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company's risk management practices remain current and effective.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in risk management, with a focus on SME credit approval processes.
- In-depth knowledge of HKMA regulations and guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
