Our client is a leading Chinese asset manager seeking to recruit a Multi-Asset Trader for its team in Hong Kong. This team of six plays a crucial role in supporting trading activities in both the Hong Kong and US markets, including executing orders from portfolio managers based in Hong Kong.

Work Duties

  • Execute transactions in overseas markets, primarily in the US, involving stocks, bonds, foreign exchange, and derivatives, based on instructions from fund managers.
  • Monitor market trends and promptly adjust trading strategies to manage risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong business relationships with counterparties in Hong Kong and abroad.
  • Prepare transaction reports and provide middle-office support and market analysis for the investment team.
  • Participate in team training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the teams capabilities in international market trading.

Work Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in trading or related financial fields, with a solid understanding of global financial market mechanisms.
  • Experience in overseas asset trading, with knowledge of international financial regulations, trading processes, and risk management practices.
  • Excellent bilingual skills in Chinese and English, approaching native proficiency.
  • Strong logical thinking, organizational abilities, and exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn independently and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Willingness to work rotational night shifts (around 8-10 times per month)
