A Well-Established Foreign Corporate Bank is looking for a Vice President (Head of Operations) to join their Operations Department.
Your new role
- Supervise the operations teams: payment operations, treasury settlement, account opening and trade finance operations, of total 20+ headcounts.
- Manage and investigate daily banking operation activities such as incoming and outgoing local and global payments, remittance, clearing, FX/MM settlement, trade finance bills operations, account opening, KYC and client services.
- Report to and assist the COO and Branch Head in overseeing the daily operation of the department.
- Support and coordinate different types of projects for Operational Resilience (OR), Business Continuity Plan (BCP), system maintenance, streamline processing, system enhancement, such as ISO 20022, HKICL project and reporting, reporting to HKMA/ HKEX etc.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and offshore processing centres for data migration, transaction processing and other operational support.
- Collaboration with front-line staff to understand customer needs and provide quality services, including regular visits to the customer's office together with the branch staff.
- Work closely with the IT Department to ensure the system stability and enhancement of system functionalities.
- Build strong risk-and-control-focused operations and work closely with business partners to ensure high-quality services are delivered and enhance trade customer experiences.
- Support department management in developing and implementing the Department's strategic plan as well as managing different sections to achieve the Bank's goal.
- Perform any ad hoc projects as assigned by COO and Management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related disciplines
- Minimum 15 years of solid experience in dealing with trade finance transactions
- Proficient in ICC rule, UCPDC, ISBP, URC, URDG knowledge
- Knowledge of a wide range of trade finance (commerical and commodity) products, the transaction process and market practices
- Excellent leadership skills with strong determination, personal integrity and project management experience
- An energetic, forward-thinking and creative leader with the ability to drive innovation
- Detail-oriented, good communication skills and meticulous
- Proficient in MS Office and has an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
