Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer Unix/Linux-based systems (Red Hat, Solaris, etc.) in a high-availability enterprise environment.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for incidents and service requests related to Unix systems.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify bottlenecks or failures.
- Patch management, OS upgrades, and vulnerability remediation in compliance with Natixis security policies.
- Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or other configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with application teams to support deployments, troubleshoot system-level issues, and optimize performance.
- Manage and maintain file systems, NFS, LVM, SAN storage mounts, and DNS configurations.
- Participate in the design and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Ensure system documentation is up to date, including architecture diagrams, procedures, and change logs.
- Work closely with global teams across Paris, New York, and Asia to align on operational standards and projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Unix/Linux systems engineer or administrator.
- Strong expertise in RHEL/CentOS and experience with Solaris is a plus.
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python, Perl) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
- Experience with virtualization (VMware), cloud exposure (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and change management processes.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Prior experience in the financial industry or a mission-critical environment is preferred.
- Good communication skills, fluent in English and Cantonese
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD integration.
- Experience supporting trading or market-facing platforms.
