Our client is a leading hedge fund with offices across APAC and EMEA. They are looking for a Procurement Analyst/Buyer based in Hong Kong to support our procurement operations in sourcing, purchasing, and managing deliveries of day-to-day procurement activities. In this role, you will be responsible for requesting and reviewing quotes from suppliers, placing orders through the company's procurement system - Coupa, and managing the logistics of deliveries to APAC region or global locations.
You will also be involved in ensuring that goods are properly receipted once received and that any invoice-related inquiries are resolved efficiently with the Accounts Payable team. The successful candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Your future role
* Working with the local procurement manager in Hong Kong to execute day-to-day jobs as required
* Liaising with colleagues on their sourcing requirements and dealing with general procurement enquiries in APAC, including Software, Professional Services, Telecoms and Office fit-out procurement
* Working with key suppliers requesting quotes, benchmarking costs and monitoring ETA's ensuring timely deliveries within APAC region and global locations
* Establishing supplier relationships whenever required
* Negotiating contracts and working with our internal Legal team as required
* Identify cost savings and avoidance opportunities
* Raising and Receipting purchase orders and supporting end users raising purchase requests within our procurement portal - Coupa
* Liaising with finance as required
* Working with local procurement manager and London procurement team
* Managing DocuSign envelopes
Your present skillset
* 3+years's experience working in a small, high impact procurement team with the ability to take on procurement tasks within the full P2P process
* Ability to take on all tasks within the 'Purchase-to-pay' (P2P) lifecycle and work on your own as required
* Excellent understanding of IT and Professional Services procurement and other indirect categories is a bonus
* Understanding of procurement within the APAC region and the complexities faced there
* Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills in Mandarin and English to manage diverse vendors
* Good experience and understanding of legal and commercial aspects of contract negotiations, able to negotiate agreements with vendors.
* Diligent in managing workloads and priorities
* Desire to develop skills across all aspects of Procurement
* Use of corporate P2P systems, such as SAP, Coupa and eSignature systems, such as DocuSign
