Equity IT System Developer / Front Office / Java or C# - 60k to 90k
I'm currently helping my banking client hiring for a candidate with Java / C# skills.
- System Development & Testing: Develop in-house systems, plan and execute unit, functional, and integration tests based on provided functional requirements.
- Documentation: Prepare development documentation, test plans, and test results to ensure clarity and traceability.
- Analysis & Implementation: Conduct analysis, development, testing, and deployment of systems to meet business needs.
- Serve as a key application developer for front-office systems, including Fidessa/Ullink trading applications, Bloomberg/Reuters instrument static data systems, databases (e.g., SQL Server), SSIS, Linux job development, and Excel tools.
- Act as the technical supervisor and primary contact for these systems, delivering effective solutions for issues.
- Automate deployment and release procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with regional offices to implement and support regional IT changes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Business Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity trading and middle/back-office operations.
- Core Technical Skills: Proficiency in C#, Java, Linux, Shell scripting, Excel VBA, and SQL.
- Desirable Skills: Experience with SSIS, Python, Omgeo CTM, AWS Cloud, Gloss, Ullink, and Fidessa is a plus.
- Programming Knowledge: Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Investment Banking or Securities Trading, with exposure to development and support of equities trading or middle/back-office applications.
