Our client is a top-tier buyside investment firm that is looking to hire a Business Operations Associate to support their growing trading and investment operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to work closely with front-office teams, ensuring smooth execution and operational efficiency across the business.
What does the role involve?
- Monitor and reconcile daily trade activity across multiple asset classes, ensuring timely resolution of breaks and discrepancies
- Manage post-trade processes including confirmations, settlements, and lifecycle events
- Identify inefficiencies in operational workflows and contribute to automation and process improvements
- Maintain accurate trade and position records; support internal and regulatory reporting requirements
- Act as a liaison between trading, risk, compliance, and external counterparties to resolve operational issues
- Monitor internal and external risk limits, escalate breaches, and ensure adherence to operational controls
- Support initiatives related to new product launches, system upgrades, and regulatory changes
What experience do you need?
- 2-5 years of experience in operations, middle office, or trade support within a buyside or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, and derivatives
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Python, SQL, or automation tools is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
