Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to lead its Insurance team. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving internal insurance sales, managing a small team, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate must currently hold a Responsible Officer (RO) license and be eligible to act as an RO for them.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead the insurance sales team, managing day-to-day operations and building a high-performing team.
  • Drive internal insurance sales initiatives with a strong focus on performance and results.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the insurance function, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team to align offerings with market needs and internal demand.
  • Work with wealth advisors to identify cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met, particularly in relation to RO responsibilities.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management on sales performance and operational matters.

Position Requirements

  • Must currently be a Responsible Officer (RO) and eligible to be appointed as an RO in the new company.
  • Proven experience in insurance sales, ideally within a insurance brokerage firm
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Solid understanding of insurance products, operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product and advisory teams.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the insurance industry's regulatory environment.
  • Strong sales acumen and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin to effectively communicate with clients from various regions.
