We are seeking a Head of Information and Cyber Security for our client, a well-known conglomerate and market leader in its field. This pivotal role involves leading a small team to manage all information and cyber security matters across Hong Kong and China. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring technology risk mitigation and compliance with industry and government standards. Our client is looking for an experienced security professional who possesses both technical expertise and strategic vision. Experience in China or knowledge of Chinese Information and Cyber Security Law will be a significant advantage.
About the job:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology governance and security strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Lead and manage a small team of security professionals across Hong Kong and Mainland China.
- Foster a culture of technology risk awareness and compliance within the organization.
- Establish and maintain a governance framework based on industry standards and ensure stakeholder engagement.
- Oversee the security of internal and external applications and infrastructure, staying informed about emerging threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
- Identify technology-related risks and develop mitigation strategies while ensuring business continuity plans are in place.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate policies and provide training on governance and security.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree or master's in Information Technology, Computer Security, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in technology governance and information security.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing various data platforms and analytics tools to drive business insights.
- Possess relevant technology governance certifications such as CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or ITIL.
- Apply frameworks like COBIT, ITIL, SOX, ISO 27001, and NIST, as well as knowledge of Mainland PIPL for compliance and governance.
- Oversee application design, development, and management, with a focus on security considerations.
- Lead the design, implementation, and operational aspects of infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures are in place.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
