Business Analyst - Core Banking / Insurance - Technology - up to 70k
The IT Business Analyst will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions within our core banking systems. This role involves analyzing banking processes, gathering requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of core banking platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and possesses deep knowledge of banking operations and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, compliance) to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements for core banking systems.
- Process Analysis: Analyze current banking processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
- System Implementation: Work closely with IT teams and vendors to support the implementation, configuration, and testing of core banking systems.
- Functional Specifications: Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process flows to guide development and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure system functionality meets requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and external vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Change Management: Support change management processes by documenting changes, training users, and ensuring smooth adoption of new systems or processes.
- Compliance and Risk: Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies, particularly in areas like KYC, AML, and data security.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data within core banking systems to provide insights, support decision-making, and identify trends or issues.
- 5 years+ of experience as a business analyst in the banking or financial services industry.
- Hands-on experience with core banking systems
- Proven track record of delivering projects in a Financial Services environment.
