Morgan Stanley Bank International (China) Ltd. (MSBIC) is a locally incorporated foreign bank wholly owned by Morgan Stanley in Zhuhai, China. It has a branch in Beijing and the Bank is primarily engaged in bond, FX and derivative trading, lending, loan syndication, and corporate deposit taking. MSBIC is a niche bank that focuses on providing unique domestic and cross-border solutions to large corporations and institutions in China. In preparation for the Bank's new phase of development as it seeks to take advantage of the market and product liberalization in China and to comply with the dynamic regulatory requirements, MSBIC is seeking a suitable candidate to head its Finance Department in the Zhuhai headquarter.
Finance function is responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. As an integral part of Finance function, Legal Entity Controllers (LEC) prepare external reports for public and regulatory filings and internal reporting for financial oversight and analysis, for its responsible entity.

Key Responsibilities
- Support general ledger control, and month-end closing
- Support legal entity regulatory reporting and financial reporting
- Implement, review, and improve controls over financial and regulatory reporting process
- Monitor and track different internal and regulatory metrics (e.g. regulatory ratios or limit usage)
- Support day-to-day internal financial reporting and control tasks (e.g., daily P&L reporting)
- Partner with internal / global stakeholders on various initiatives and projects
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience and personal qualities:
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and data analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to details and be risk-focused
- Self-motivated personality with high standards for quality of work and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Ability and willingness to work with teams across various regions towards the achievement of common goals
- Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) is desired. Proficiency in digital tool (Alteryx, Power-BI) is an advantage
- University degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
- Internationally recognized accounting qualification is preferred
- Relevant working experience in similar industry. Prior working experience in foreign bank or auditing Financial Institution industry is a plus.
