Type 9 Responsible Officer – Real Estate Fundraising

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Type 9 RO under the SFC, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to meet SFC licensing requirements.
• Liaise with the SFC and other regulatory bodies, managing submissions and responding to inquiries.
• Oversee the management of real estate investment portfolios.
• Ensure investment strategies align with client objectives and risk profiles.
• Monitor market conditions and portfolio performance, providing strategic insights to senior management.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Identify and mitigate potential regulatory and operational risks.
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance matters and regulatory updates.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the SFC.
• Foster strong relationships with clients through effective communication and service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in asset management or financial services.
• Proven experience as a Responsible Officer in a Type 9 licensed entity.
• In-depth knowledge of SFC regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are preferred.
• Excellent command of spoken & written English and Cantonese/Mandarin
