My client is a leading global specialist in alternative investing with over USD 110 billion in assets under management. They are currently urgently looking for a senior finance manager to cope with their expansion;
Job description
In your role you will manage a diverse set of responsibilities, including
â–ª Responsibility over all finance, accounting, audit, tax and transfer pricing matters in relation to four entities in Australia, Beijing, Japan and Singapore
▪ Co-ordination of the production of accurate monthly and year-end statutory accounts as well as financial statements on a timely basis – in collaboration with the external accounting providers
â–ª Ensuring the timely delivery of the monthly reporting packages to Group Accounting
â–ª Proactive and reliable preparation of yearly budgets and regular forecasts
â–ª Coordination and management of external audit processes
▪ Ensure all tax reporting requirements are met, including operational and fiscal reporting – in collaboration with the global tax team as well as the external service providers
â–ª Make sure all regulatory requirements are fulfilled, including capital and liquidity requirements as well as all filings
â–ª Working closely with other finance teams, especially with head office
â–ª Reporting to and collaboration with local management on all financial matters (e.g. verification budget assumptions, actuals vs. budget commentary, support on new business initiatives)
â–ª Actively manage relationships with all key stakeholders, including board members, business line representatives, other support functions (e.g. compliance, HR) and external service providers
â–ª Independent and self-responsible management of finance side of local projects
Requirements
• Qualified Accountant with at least 10 years of relevant accounting (incl. management accounting) experience in the financial industry, ideally with background in international asset management with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Excellent team management and organizational skill
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and oral) are a requirement and knowledge in Chinese or Japanese would be an advantage
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with accounting tools
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and a challenging mindset enable you to work diligently and take on responsibility for your own remit of work
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast paced environment
