Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Design & Implementation: Lead the strategic design, planning, and implementation of data center facilities, ensuring high availability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Infrastructure Oversight: Manage critical elements, including power distribution, cooling systems, space planning, rack configurations, and network cabling to support mission-critical operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate coordination with various external parties, including utility providers, network service vendors, and contractors, to ensure seamless operations and the timely resolution of issues.
- Compliance & Certification: Ensure that all facility operations meet regulatory and industry standards and maintain required certifications such as CDCDP.
- Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage annual budgets, optimize operational expenditures, and ensure effective resource allocation for both routine operations and capital projects.
- Operational Excellence: Implement and refine preventive maintenance programs, disaster recovery protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime and resiliency.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a multidisciplinary team of operations, maintenance, and technical professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that values safety, reliability, and excellence.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to facility operations and implement robust mitigation strategies to ensure the stability and security of the data center.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10–15 years of hands-on experience in managing mission-critical facilities within a financial or similarly regulated environment.
- Certification: Mandatory CDCDP certification or equivalent.
- Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge in the design and implementation of modern data center infrastructure, including critical systems such as power, cooling, rack management, and network cabling.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to effectively manage relationships and negotiations with external service providers, utilities, and network vendors.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams. Superior communication, project management, and analytical skills are essential.
- Problem-Solving: The Capacity to operate quickly and decisively during unforeseen challenges, ensuring continuity of critical operations.
