Business Analyst – Insurance Transformation

We are supporting a major transformation programme at a leading insurer and are hiring multiple Business Analysts to join their growing team. These roles offer a unique opportunity to be involved in strategic initiatives focused on streamlining new business workflows, enhancing sales tools, and leveraging GenAI technologies within the underwriting process. These roles initially start as extendable contracts, with a view to convert into permanent positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or contribute to business analysis activities depending on level of experience
  • Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and cross-functional teams across Hong Kong and Mainland China
  • Document and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications (e.g., BRDs)
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather and validate requirements from stakeholders
  • Support UAT planning, coordination, and issue tracking
  • Participate in the transformation of New Business (NB) processes and system integration efforts
  • Contribute to the enhancement of sales tools and backend support systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in technology, engineering or related discipline.
  • Previous experience working on New Business (NB) processes or systems within the insurance industry is essential
  • Solid hands-on experience in business analysis, including requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Familiarity with insurance operations such as underwriting, onboarding, and policy administration
  • Proven ability to support system transformation projects and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong documentation and communication skills across business and IT
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (spoken and written)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with sales tool enhancements or backend system integration
  • Exposure to GenAI technologies or automation initiatives
  • Experience coordinating with regional/offshore teams
