Our mission is to provide institutional-grade infrastructure for the trading and clearing of digital asset derivatives, bringing the security, transparency, and robustness of established financial markets to this rapidly evolving asset class. Backed by significant institutional investment, we are building a world-class team and are now seeking a visionary and highly skilled Head of Quantitative Analytics to build out and lead our quantitative capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the quantitative landscape of a pioneering platform within a highly regulated and centrally cleared environment. You will play a critical role in developing sophisticated models and analytical frameworks that underpin our market operations, risk management, and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the quantitative strategy for the firm, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Model Development: Lead the research, design, development, and implementation of advanced quantitative models for:
    • Derivative pricing and valuation (futures, options, and other complex instruments).
    • Market microstructure analysis and order book dynamics.
    • Risk management (market risk, credit risk, operational risk, counterparty risk).
    • Margin methodologies and capital requirements, particularly within a central clearing (CCP) framework.
    • Liquidity assessment and management.
  • Data Analysis & Research: Conduct in-depth quantitative research and analysis on large, complex datasets, including market data, order flow, and blockchain data, to identify trends, optimize strategies, and inform product development.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Validation: Ensure all quantitative models are robust, well-documented, and meet stringent regulatory standards. Oversee model validation processes and liaise with internal and external auditors and regulators.
  • Team Building & Mentorship: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of quantitative analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, rigorous analysis, and continuous learning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Technology, Product Development, Risk Management, Operations, and Business Development teams to integrate quantitative insights and solutions across the platform.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest academic research, industry trends, and technological advancements in quantitative finance, digital assets, and financial markets.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • PhD or Masters degree in a highly quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in quantitative roles within financial markets, with a significant portion focused on derivatives.
  • Demonstrable experience with digital assets/cryptocurrency markets is essential, including a deep understanding of their unique characteristics, data challenges, and trading dynamics.
  • Proven track record of building, validating, and deploying complex quantitative models in a production environment.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java.
  • Extensive experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and big data analytical techniques.
  • Solid understanding of financial market microstructure, trading systems, and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience operating within a highly regulated financial services environment (e.g., FCA, CFTC, SEC) is required.
  • Understanding of central counterparty (CCP) models and risk management frameworks is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing quantitative teams.
