Business Development / Partnership Lead

I am looking for an individual to serve as Business Development / Partnership Lead for my client, a global financial technology company in Hong Kong.

Pure Hong Kong - Hong Kong - Full time

Salary: Depending on experience

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver card schemes and manage third-party acquirer partnerships across APAC, including global financial institution partners.
  • Execute end-to-end strategy, implementation, and executive relationship management within card schemes and acquirers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Strategy, Finance, and Operations to ensure successful partnerships.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of financial institution partnerships from strategy development to signing and implementation.
  • Work closely with partners and internal product teams to deliver business requirements, new products, and payment corridors that effectively impact customers.

 

Requirements:

  • > 7+ years of experience in financial institutions, card schemes, acquirers, and payment networks.
  • Proven executive relationships with card schemes and acquirers in Asia Pacific is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of onboarding and compliance with global and regional payment network providers.
  • Strong familiarity with card scheme structures and operations (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners).
  • Cantonese is MANDATORY
