A leading global macro fund is seeking a Japan Rates Strategist to join their dynamic investment team. This role focuses on Japan and G10 rates, with an emphasis on bond markets, FX, and FX forwards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in macro strategy and fixed income, with the ability to contribute to both research and trading decisions.

Salary: HK$100k - HK$150k

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies across Japan and G10 rates, focusing on bonds and interest rate products.
  • Provide macroeconomic insights and market analysis to drive investment decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers and Traders to optimize portfolio positioning.
  • Analyze FX and FX forwards as part of a broader rates strategy.

 

Requirements

  • Strong background in rates strategy, fixed income, and macro research.
  • Experience covering Japan and G10 bond markets.
  • Ability to generate actionable trade ideas and support risk-taking decisions.
  • Prior experience in a hedge fund, asset management firm, or sell-side research.
