Overview
An international corporate bank is currently seeking a Director, Product Compliance (Structured Finance) for the compliance department to provide business advisory and perform new product compliance.
Role Responsibilities
- Reporting into the Head of Compliance, the Product Compliance Manager will take on a compliance advisory role to internal business stakeholders to ensure new Structured Financing compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for Corporate Banking business
- Advise business stakeholders on compliance related matters and provide guidance to business on day-to-day compliance requirements
- Monitor and assess product suitability to ensure alignment with client needs and regulatory requirements and standards
- Review and update internal manuals, policies and procedures to ensure rules and regulations of HKMA are in place
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Stay up to date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry's best practices
- Identify training needs and helps develop training based on gaps identified through compliance monitoring and testing
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- 10 years of experiences in regulatory compliance from Corporate Banking or Investment Banking
- Strong communication in English and Mandarin, and ability to work smoothly with various business stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of investment suitability, general compliance, and trade surveillance
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Bachelor Degree holder in finance, economics or law is preferred
- Independent worker with high attention to detail
