Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Strategy & Governance
- Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap aligned with business goals, risk appetite and HKMA guidelines
- Develop architecture standards, policies and procedures to ensure high availability, scalability and security
Product Support & Operations
- Oversee 24×7 production support for all platform components (network, compute, storage, middleware)
- Implement incident management, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement processes
Data Center Migration
- Plan and lead large-scale, phased data-center migrations, ensuring zero or minimal downtime
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (network, security, applications) and vendors
Cloud Migration & Management
- Architect and execute cloud-first strategies (AWS/Azure/GCP), including POC, lift-and-shift and cloud-native redesign
- Implement IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines and cost-optimization practices
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure infrastructure design and operations comply with HKMAs Technology Risk Management guidelines (TMG), AML/CTF requirements and data residency rules
- Prepare and support regulatory audits, risk assessments and incident reporting
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, mentor and scale a high-performing infrastructure team
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation and continuous learning
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Champion evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies (containerization, edge computing, AI/ML ops)
- Drive proof-of-concepts and hackathons to embed an innovative mindset
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 10+ years experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Supporting live fintech products and enterprise-grade applications
- Experience in executing large-scale data-center migrations with complex legacy environments; Leading multi-phased cloud migrations and building cloud-native platforms; Deep understanding of HKMA Technology Risk Management (TMG) framework and related regulations
- Strong knowledge of Networking (routing, switching, firewalls/TLS), Virtualization (VMware, KVM), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security) and Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and observability tools
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and vendor negotiation skills
- Highly passionate, proactive and driven by solving complex technical challenges
- Innovative mindset with a track record of introducing new technologies or processes
