AVP, Data Management Office

Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive Data Governance strategy that includes policies, guidelines, procedures, and standards to enhance data quality. Clearly define roles and responsibilities for Data Owners, Stewards, and Consumers to ensure accountability and ownership of data assets across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with data-related regulatory standards, including BCBS 239 and develop relevant policies and frameworks.
• Facilitate discussions between departments and stakeholders regarding data governance and quality requirements, addressing any related issues or gaps.
• Maintain a robust data governance framework that includes data classifications, data dictionaries, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality controls, ensuring alignment with global standards.
• Facilitate and promote the usage and adoption of the data governance tools, processes, standards and procedures e.g Collibra.

Requirements:

• University graduated in information technology or relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in data-related disciplines (e.g., Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Analytics).
• Subject Matter Expertise with extensive hands-on experience in implementing data governance and management within banking and financial institutions.
• Hands-on experience with data governance tools, particularly Collibra, as well as automation tools (e.g., Alteryx).
• Knowledge of related ordinances (e.g., HKMA) and trends in Data Policy and Procedures.
• Strong experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI and Tableau, with proven experience in developing interactive, effective, and insight-driven management dashboards and business reports will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
