About the role
Reporting to the Department head and leading a team, our client is seeking an experienced IT leader to develop and execute a regional enterprise application strategy that aligns with both business objectives and regional direction. This role will own and maintain the strategic application roadmap, ensuring its visibility and alignment across the organization. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of global applications in the region, adapting solutions to meet local business needs while identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement. Managing multiple large-scale application initiatives, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. Building strong partnerships with business leaders, you will maximize the value applications bring to the business, regularly assessing stakeholder satisfaction and driving targeted improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Business Management, with at least 7 years of experience in IT management roles, ideally focused on application development or management.
- Proven track record in leading IT teams, including both local and offshore groups.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale application portfolios and delivering complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of both established and emerging technologies.
- In-depth understanding of business applications relevant to logistics, trading, and freight forwarding.
- Extensive background in back-office and ERP systems.
- Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, including expertise in data analysis and performance measurement.
- Strong project management skills, with hands-on experience in agile methodologies and change management
- Good command in Chinese and English
