What you'll do: As Vice President, High Risk Review - Asia Pacific Financial Crimes Office, you will play an instrumental role in safeguarding the integrity of financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. Your day-to-day activities will involve supporting a highly skilled team as they conduct thorough reviews of high-risk transactions, using advanced analytics to uncover patterns indicative of financial crime. You will collaborate extensively with both regional compliance professionals and global colleagues to ensure that all findings are communicated effectively to senior management. - Support a team responsible for conducting comprehensive reviews of high-risk transactional activity on a global thematic basis to identify trends in financial crime typologies.
- Coordinate risk mitigation initiatives by collaborating closely with regional Financial Crime Compliance Teams and Global Financial Crimes Division colleagues.
- Leverage information from Data Insights and Analytics teams to proactively investigate potential emerging risks that may impact the organisation's operations or reputation.
- Perform detailed investigations based on leads developed internally or through collaborative efforts with other compliance functions.
- Identify industry best practices and contribute to the development of training materials for the Operations Training team to ensure up-to-date knowledge transfer across the business.
- Work collaboratively across functional teams within the Financial Crimes Division to ensure effective operations with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Prepare clear communications and executive-level presentations for business line leaders and senior management regarding significant findings, risk responses, and recommendations.
- Proactively identify regionally significant financial crime risks through close cooperation with APAC branches' compliance teams and regional risk managers.
- Coordinate with global teams on developing bespoke typologies for thematic reviews that address unique regional challenges while aligning with global standards.
- Provide actionable recommendations to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Training, and other relevant functions based on insights gained from high-risk reviews.

Your background should include deep familiarity with AML regulations, BSA requirements, sanctions protocols, anti-bribery measures, and enterprise-wide risk management principles. - Demonstrated experience engaging effectively with executive committee members, control function leaders, and subject matter experts in compliance environments.
- Proven track record interfacing successfully with banking regulators and enforcement staff during audits or investigations.
- Comprehensive understanding of effective financial crimes risk management frameworks applicable within large-scale banking operations.
