Overview

With a continued growth in the region, a corporate bank is seeking to hire a AVP, Credit Officer, Risk Corporate Credit to review and recommend Large corporate credit transactions for approval and maintain a healthy and high credit portfolio for the bank.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of credit risk arising from exposures booked in Corporate Banking;
  • Review and approve credit lending proposals within delegated authority to ensure that the bank's credit offering is in compliance with bank's policies, procedures and risk appetite;
  • Provide recommendations and highlight key risk issues to front office and Head of Credit;
  • Stay on top of high alert to credit worthiness of clients including market situations, provide advice to the related departments on proper credit-related actions whenever necessary
  • Perform on-site credit due diligence by joining joint-calls with business unit officers;
  • Provide training and guidance to RMs / ARMs on credit policies and processes;
  • Prepare portfolio reports / analysis of bank's credit portfolio;
  • Participate in credit policy / new product programme review and ad-hoc projects assigned by Management;

Requirements

  • University graduate in Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related disciplines;
  • Holder of ECF-CRM is a plus;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in commercial / corporate banking with credit assessment experience, broad industry exposure and knowledge of cash flow lending;
  • Sound knowledge in various corporate lending products Bachelor degree holder or above, preferably in Finance, Banking or Economics related disciplines
  • Independent, attentive to details, good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Capability to discuss and guide front offices from early stage of deals to make appropriate credit decision
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
