Overview
With a continued growth in the region, a corporate bank is seeking to hire a AVP, Credit Officer, Risk Corporate Credit to review and recommend Large corporate credit transactions for approval and maintain a healthy and high credit portfolio for the bank.
Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day management of credit risk arising from exposures booked in Corporate Banking;
- Review and approve credit lending proposals within delegated authority to ensure that the bank's credit offering is in compliance with bank's policies, procedures and risk appetite;
- Provide recommendations and highlight key risk issues to front office and Head of Credit;
- Stay on top of high alert to credit worthiness of clients including market situations, provide advice to the related departments on proper credit-related actions whenever necessary
- Perform on-site credit due diligence by joining joint-calls with business unit officers;
- Provide training and guidance to RMs / ARMs on credit policies and processes;
- Prepare portfolio reports / analysis of bank's credit portfolio;
- Participate in credit policy / new product programme review and ad-hoc projects assigned by Management;
Requirements
- University graduate in Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related disciplines;
- Holder of ECF-CRM is a plus;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in commercial / corporate banking with credit assessment experience, broad industry exposure and knowledge of cash flow lending;
- Sound knowledge in various corporate lending products Bachelor degree holder or above, preferably in Finance, Banking or Economics related disciplines
- Independent, attentive to details, good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capability to discuss and guide front offices from early stage of deals to make appropriate credit decision
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
