Your new role
Responsible Officer & Compliance
  • Act as the corporation's Responsible Officer (RO) for all IA-regulated activities; maintain the insurance-broker licence in good standing.
  • Serve as primary liaison with the Insurance Authority (IA) on all regulatory matters, including annual filings, ad-hoc inspections, notifications and returns.
  • Formulate, review and update internal control, AML/CFT, KYC and operational procedures to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Report risk and compliance status to the Head of Wealth Planning and senior management; drive remediation actions where required.
Product Strategy & Solutions
  • Function as the in-house insurance product specialist; design and recommend insurance solutions that match client needs and maximise profitability.
  • Develop and maintain the annual product roadmap, identifying priority lines (general, long-term, ILAS, cross-border solutions) and target customer segments.
  • Conduct profit-and-risk analyses on new products; negotiate exclusive terms and first-to-market access with insurers.
Marketing & Sales Strategy
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies (digital campaigns, seminars, referral programmes) aligned with product priorities and sales targets.
  • Establish and lead sales initiatives, marketing campaigns and client events in collaboration with the business-development and sales teams.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness, analyse data and refine tactics to improve market penetration and client conversion.
Business Development & Partnerships
  • Collaborate with business-development and sales teams to build prospective-client pipelines and achieve insurance-product sales targets.
  • Oversee and nurture relationships with insurance partners to secure competitive products, underwriting concessions and operational support.
  • Coordinate technical-infrastructure roll-outs and ongoing operational-improvement plans that enhance client experience and back-office efficiency.
Leadership & Ad-hoc Duties
  • Provide guidance to Technical Representatives and sales staff on regulatory and product matters.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree holder in any discipline; advanced qualifications in insurance, finance or law preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of insurance-operations experience, including technical product-implementation and regulatory-compliance exposure.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Hong Kong insurance market, regulatory environment and diverse product lines.
  • Valid (or ability to obtain) Responsible Officer (Insurance Broker) licence issued by the IA.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a brokerage or agency environment.
  • Excellent selling, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in both English and Chinese; ability to work independently and perform under pressure.
