A leading international financial institution is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Hong Kong Corporate Banking team. The successful candidate will manage and grow a portfolio of top-tier large corporate clients in Hong Kong, driving strategic relationship development and delivering a broad suite of financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with a priority group of corporate clients. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and engagement.
Strategic Account Planning:
Create and execute detailed account plans to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability across assigned relationships and identified prospects.
Product Origination & Cross-Selling:
Lead the origination and cross-selling of corporate and investment banking products, including:
- Interest rate and currency hedging
- Bond issuance
- Bilateral and syndicated loans
- Trade finance and cash management
- Asset-backed finance
- Mergers & Acquisitions
Emphasize solutions aligned with sustainability and energy transition priorities.
Risk Management:
Take primary responsibility for counterparty risk in collaboration with relevant business lines. Proactively manage transaction risks to mitigate potential defaults and minimize provisioning.
Global Coordination:
Facilitate collaboration between local teams and the institution's global network to deliver seamless client coverage and support.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in corporate banking sales and relationship management
- Strong understanding of banking and capital markets products
- Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver tailored financial solutions
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, with the ability to work independently under pressure and take ownership of results
- Strong influencing and presentation capabilities
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (spoken and written)
